Sometimes we may send you emails as part of the services we provide for you. The reason for sending these (the ‘basis’ according to the GDPR regulations) is that these form part of the service you have requested from us and therefore we do not require specific additional permission to send these emails.
In addition, from time to time we may want to contact you for the other reasons given below. You can choose whether or not we can contact you for these reasons and specify how you would like us to do it. Please note that under the GDPR regulations that come into force on 25 May 2018 we will not be able to contact you for these reasons unless you explicitly give us permission to do so.
After you have registered you will be able to review your choices and change your mind at any time by logging in to the website and changing your permissions in the ‘My Details’ section.
We take your privacy very seriously and will never share your information with any third parties ever.
Your email address is needed for some of the features of the site (for example resetting your password) but the only reason we ask for any other personal details at all is so that we can make the site more personal and enjoyable to use. When you sign in you can change your personal settings which include the choice as to whether your real name or your username is used when other members see it.
